"And the Birthday Wishes Winner is (drum roll please) . . ."

Thank you to everyone who filled our home with such fun and joy the last three days! You're the best! I decided to surprise Eric with 62 Birthday Wishes (and you made it 74) on his birthday post. So I emailed, and some of you emailed, friends and family (many we've yet to meet) asking for Birthday Wishes. Eric had to be away in Las Vegas on his birthday, so all day long he kept calling surprised and excited about the Birthday Wishes that were coming to his email inbox. "I'm getting all these birthday greetings on the blog :), :), :) . . . Does everyone know about our blog?" You really are great people.

And since birthdays should be fun for everyone, all you Birthday Wishers were put in a birthday hat (recognize the hat?) and Eric drew out a winner who's receiving their own birthday present.

And the winner is -

#15
"Happy Birthday Dad!!

(does this mean that my family gets an extra ballot in the
drawing?--we could really use a new car, nothing too expensive, but something
that won't break down every six months...most recently yesterday)

Ty"

(We're wondering, are there unwritten blog-winner nepotism rules? Eric said,
"No one is going to believe this". But I say, "Of course they will. Who would purposely choose to have to give a car as a gift - even 'nothing too expensive. . .that won't break down every six months.' ")

Sorry I'm late! Happy B'day to you Eric! The quiet, all-together tower we all look up to. If you didn't have birthdays, we wouldn't have Ty in our family. So for many reasons, we're glad you were born! Art McK.
